Emergency Data Recovery in Orange County

Critical documents, QuickBooks ledgers, discovery databases, or irreplaceable memories trapped on a failed drive? We perform advanced software file carving, corrupted partition reconstruction, and component-level PCB hardware swaps for failing hard drives, dead SSDs, and virtual RAID arrays.

⚠️
Rule #1 of Data Loss: Power Down the Drive Immediately.
If a mechanical hard drive is clicking or an SSD has stopped responding, continued power cycles cause severe surface wear and NAND degradation. Do not run CHKDSK or consumer recovery software on failing hardware.

🛡️ Our Transparent Scope: Component Swaps & Logical Recovery Only

We believe in complete honesty. Many generic IT shops pretend to operate multi-million-dollar cleanrooms or charge astronomical fees only to run basic software. At OC Computer Fix, we are clear about our capabilities: we specialize in external PCB component swaps, donor ROM chip micro-soldering, burned diode repairs, and advanced non-destructive software file carving. We do not open sealed drive chambers to perform cleanroom platter swaps. If our diagnostic reveals catastrophic internal head crashes, we advise you immediately without charging a fee and connect you with vetted cleanroom partners.

No Data, No Recovery Fee

Guaranteed risk-free recovery attempt

Non-Destructive Cloning

Bit-for-bit sector imaging first

24/48-Hour Rush Queue

Priority handling for critical businesses

HIPAA & Rule 1.6 Secure

Encrypted custody & strict confidentiality

Storage Media & Failure Scenarios We Solve

Component-level electronics repair, hardware write-blocked sector imaging, and deep software-level file carving.

Hard Drive PCB & Component Swaps

3.5" desktop drives, 2.5" laptop drives, and external USB disks (Western Digital, Seagate, Toshiba). When a drive doesn't spin or clicks due to electronic failure, we replace burned TVS protection diodes, swap compatible donor PCB controller boards, and micro-solder the original adaptive ROM/BIOS chip.

Solid-State Drives (SSD) & NVMe

M.2 NVMe, PCIe, and SATA SSDs (Samsung EVO/PRO, Crucial, SanDisk, WD Black). We diagnose power rail shorts, handle corrupt partition tables, clone unstable blocks with hardware write-blockers, and perform deep file carving on unallocated flash space.

Unallocated Flash Recovery Partition Table Restoration Hardware Write-Blocked Cloning

Enterprise RAID & NAS Virtual Rebuilds

Multi-drive arrays (RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10), Synology DiskStation, QNAP, TrueNAS ZFS storage pools, and server arrays. We image member drives individually with hardware write-blockers and virtually reconstruct the stripe array in software without modifying customer disks.

Virtual Array Rebuilds ZFS Pool Rescuing Synology & QNAP NAS

Apple Mac & APFS Volume Recovery

MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and iMac storage recovery. We extract data from unbootable Macs, repair corrupt APFS containers, unlock FileVault encrypted volumes with user credentials, and rescue data after logic board power rail shorts.

BitLocker & Encrypted Partitions

Windows BitLocker recovery loops, lost volume headers, and unmountable encrypted partitions. Using authorized recovery keys, we rebuild damaged filesystem headers to decrypt and mount the volume safely in software.

Accidental Deletion & Formats

Accidentally formatted a critical project drive, emptied recycle bin, or suffered a ransomware encryption attack? We use deep raw file carving across unallocated clusters to reconstruct original directories and files.

Formatted Volumes Raw File Carving Partition Table Restoration

Our 4-Step Non-Destructive Recovery Protocol

We treat every storage drive with forensic chain-of-custody standards. Your original media is never modified.

01

Electronic PCB & Port Diagnostic

We inspect the drive under magnification, test power rails and TVS diodes for shorts, verify USB bridge connectivity, and evaluate whether a donor PCB swap or ROM transfer is required.

02

Hardware Sector-Level Clone

Using write-blocked forensic hardware imagers, we clone every healthy sector to a pristine laboratory drive, carefully re-reading weak sectors with adaptive timeouts.

03

Software File Tree Reconstruction

All recovery work is executed exclusively on the cloned image. We reconstruct Master File Tables (MFT), inode trees, database catalogs, and raw file signatures.

04

Verification & Encrypted Handover

You review the recovered file directory report before paying. Your recovered files are returned on a new, encrypted external hard drive or secure flash drive.

Need Emergency Data Recovery Right Now?

Do not power on the drive. Bring it to our Laguna Hills lab (23 Sparrow Hill Lane) or call for immediate courier pickup throughout Irvine, Newport Beach, Costa Mesa, and South Orange County.

Frequently Asked Questions • Data Recovery

What data recovery services do you offer, and do you have a cleanroom? ↓
We specialize in non-invasive software-level data recovery and external component swaps (such as PCB logic board replacements, donor ROM chip micro-soldering, and USB bridge bypasses). We do NOT operate an ISO Class 5 cleanroom for internal platter swaps or head assembly teardowns. If your drive has internal mechanical failure requiring a cleanroom, we diagnose it honestly, ensure it is powered down to prevent further damage, and refer you to trusted specialized cleanroom facilities.
What should I do if my hard drive is clicking or making strange sounds? ↓
Immediately disconnect power and turn off the device. Clicking can be caused by electronic PCB power failure, corrupted firmware, severe bad sectors, or failing internal heads. Powering down prevents platter friction. Bring it in for diagnostic inspection: if it's an external PCB or software issue, we can recover it in our lab; if it requires internal cleanroom teardown, we'll let you know immediately.
Can you recover files from dead or unreadable SSDs and NVMe drives? ↓
Yes. Many solid-state failures stem from corrupted partition tables, damaged interface ports, power rail shorts, or degraded flash memory blocks. We use forensic hardware write-blockers and deep software file carving to rescue unallocated data from dead or unmounted SSDs.
What does your 'No Data, No Recovery Fee' policy mean? ↓
If we cannot recover your targeted critical files through our software carving or component-level hardware repairs, you pay zero dollars for the recovery attempt. There is no financial risk to having us assess your media.
Can you recover degraded business RAID arrays and Synology/QNAP NAS systems? ↓
Yes. We perform software-level virtual reconstruction on RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, TrueNAS ZFS pools, and multi-disk enclosures. We image each member disk individually with hardware write-blockers and reassemble the stripe array virtually in software without writing to customer disks.
